c0763 White Lycra, Crystal Belly Dance Costume with Shirred Bands $400

Skirt is put together like a lycra top/chiffon bottom skirt, except separate bottom piece is lycra. Bottom portion is slightly gathered all around and then extends past slit on both sides, moves beautifully and spins out when you turn. Top is gathered above slit over left leg.
Bra has halter straps. The decorative band is shirred and is a single piece that comes across bra cup (sewn and beaded on). No telling how it was intended to be worn. There is a hook & bar on the ends, as if ends are to be hooked together and allowed to hang loose. However, I didn't like the way that looked. I tried all sorts of interesting things, circling one piece almost all the way around and then attaching the other piece to that piece mid way -- lots of options. I photographed it like a beauty queen ribbon just because it was the easiest :).
Beadwork is glass iridescent white square cut bugles with sequins fills of holographic silver, faceted silver clear iridescent whites, solid iridescent whites. About 10 real glass 1/4" and 3/8" crystals surrounded by glass rhinestones on bra, glass rhinestone zig zag down center edge of cups. More crystals/rhinestones around top of skirt and in line on gathered strip over slit. Top portion of skirt completely covered with bead work; design all the way around hem (about 3" above it), plus larger medallion in back and scattered over body of skirt. Fringe accents in all of hip beadwork, double strands of silver glass square cut bugles tipped with silver metallic beads and large pearlized round beads. Bra does not have fringe. Skirt slit and hem edged with iridescent white glass bugles.
Accessories: Matching beaded gauntlets, headband.
Sizing: Small-Medium
Bra: Should fit range including 34 C/D, 36 B+/C.
Age/Condition: New. Pristine, especially for a white costume. I think this one is straight off the ship, no try ons (except for photos).
Like most of the costumes on this site, this was a one-of-a-kind piece hand crafted by an Egyptian artisan. THIS COSTUME CAN NOT BE ORDERED. Will there be more? Individual artisans will occasionally repeat designs, but never exactly and rarely in the same color. It's impossible to say if or when these will show up or in what size or color.
