Like most of the costumes on this site, this was a one-of-a-kind piece hand crafted by an Egyptian artisan. THIS COSTUME CAN NOT BE ORDERED. Will there be more? Individual artisans will occasionally repeat designs, but never exactly and rarely in the same color. It's impossible to say if or when these will show up or in what size or color. YOU CAN'T ORDER THIS COSTUME. Thank you.
If large version photos don't seem very large, especially the detail, which should be pretty gigantic, you may need to do this (applies to Internet Explorer (IE) only): Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the IE window. Click "Internet Options". Click the "Advanced" tab. You'll see a "Settings" list of items you can check or uncheck. Scroll down until you see the heading "Multimedia." There should be a checkbox setting something along the lines of "enable automatic image resizing." You DON'T want automatic image resizing, so uncheck the box if it's checked. CLick the "OK" button. "Automatic image resizing" takes images IE considers too big and makes them smaller, so you never are sure if you are seeing an image at the size the website author intended. Turning off "automatic image resizing" simply means you will see all images at their "real" sizes, it will not affect anything else.
Made in Egypt. Beautiful, well made costume, very high quality in tailoring and beadwork. Black but not black! Has elegance any black costume does, but plenty of color to keep it exciting. Stretch lightweight lycra (lightweight is a positive in this case due to the large amount of fabric in skirt), black with a multi color metallic overlay pattern, fairly large scale floral-ish outlines. Doesn't really read as "flowery," just that there is color there.
Skirt is lovely fit to flare, has four gores (sections) plus two large triangular insets so bottom of skirt is very full. No slits. Elongated oval openings over hips, not too large, have two lattice X's with large crystal rhinestone squares. Beadwork is rich and full. Large gold glass seed beads in tightly looping 3d outlines, sequin fills (the the glass bead "outlines" actually cover more area than the sequins) of holographic fuschia and green with silver and gold mixed in; accent beads of large iridescent acrylic squares and globes. Skirt has half a dozen 3/4" round acrylic crystal stones, bra has four plus a bit of rhinestone accent strands. Plenty of fringe accents in hip beadwork (double strands of large gold glass seed beads tipped with lovely glass green moonstone cylinders, clear fuschia faceted acrylics, faceted gold metallics. Center swatch of same fringe on Bra. Bra is a halter strap style, with elastic back straps. Skirt has short back center zipper.
Accessories: Matching beaded gauntlets (gloves) and soft headband.
Age/Condition: New.

DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL ME WITH SIZE QUESTIONS OF ANY KIND UNTIL YOU HAVE 1) READ THE LINKED PAGE ABOVE (How to Buy A Costume that Fits), 2) READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION OF THIS COSTUME INCLUDING NOTES GIVEN WITH THE SIZES, 3) TAKEN YOUR MEASUREMENTS NOW AND CAREFULLY COMPARED THEM TO MEASUREMENTS GIVEN FOR COSTUME IN QUESTION. Please! I'm overwhelmed with emails/calls, which keeps me from posting new costumes! It may be hard to believe, but many, many questions are answered by taking a little time to do this -- even if you think you understand my measurements and/or know yours. Even if you are totally confused (or only know your size in a non-US format - page gives help converting). If you still have questions after that, I'll be delighted to answer them (please email vs. phone if you can -- love to talk to customers, but much easier for me to answer emails quickly) . Thank you VERY much, I greatly appreciate it! - K
Bra
PLEASE read:
- Brief Explanation of notations used below.
- Underbust measurements are NOT a good way to judge bra fit, please read this (short).
Should fit range including wide 34 C/D (cups prob. need to be closer; ez on this bra), 36 widish B/C, somewhat narrow A+/B. Cups are medium depth, not tall, and somewhat wide-set. At the large end of the range (38 B, a large 36 C), this will start looking like a demi-bra. It has the right shape and I believe will give "frontage" cover if you don't mind a demi look (more of top of bust showing), but at those extremes and possibly a little larger you and the bra are going to have to match well, and fiddling will be involved.
Max underbust = 32". Technically this is not long enough for a 36 C or 38 A/B (though I'm a 36 B+/C and I had it on no problem, that's me modeling). The back straps are elastic and at 32" is going to be pretty snug. Very simple to extend; at the connecting ends they are fabric covered 1" elastic. Just make a black fabric sleeve for appropriate length of elastic and stitch on to one of the ends, taking the fastener and moving it onto your extension. No one will notice or care that it's black instead of black with a pattern.
Skirt Top: Smallest body will reasonably fit approximately = 34", largest body will reasonably fit approximately = 39". Has no elastic and definitely will need it, I believe even for larger sizes, due to weight of beadwork. See easy tip here.
Skirt Hips: Smallest body will reasonably fit approximately = 37", largest body will reasonably fit approximately = 42".
Skirt length: 39".

How to Buy a Costume that fits". Explains my sizing methods and how to measure yourself. Also tools for converting to/from non-US sizes. Plus quite a few alteration tips and what to expect from imported costumes. Link to this also on Site front page.
AFTER reading all info, Email inquiries if possible, it's easier for me to quickly answer emails vs. phone calls. Include number AND, please, name/title of the costume(s). Include ZIP CODE (country if non-USA) if you want shipping cost (just your city won't do it). But if you need to call, no problem: 352-373-4991.
FAQ's & Helpful Info(below)
Q:"How long will it take to get my order? How much is shipping?"
A: For full detail on carriers and rates see Quick Help- Shipping. Total time to receive your order is the Processing Time (time until delivery to shipper: document processing, costume prep, packing, waiting for the 10 orders ahead to be shipped, etc.) PLUS the shipping transit time. Normal processing time is from 1 up to 7 business days. Currently, due to brisk business, closer to 7 days. Standard shipping within the US takes 2 to 5 days; roughly $11-$17. Shipping costs outside the USA vary greatly. VERY rough examples: Canada, generally the higher end is in the $30 range. Europe, Japan, South Asia, expect at least $50. You are responsible for any customs taxes. Expedited shipping (overnight, guaranteed 2 day, etc.) - ask specifically for costs in your initial request.
Q: "I'm a (for example) 38 bust and 35 underbust, I wear a size 10, will this costume fit me/can you tell me what costumes will fit?" or, "I don't understand the measurements you give."
A: Read "How to Buy a Costume that fits". You need to know your correct bra size and current measurements, then compare to the measured ranges given, which are done very carefully and in which I invest a lot of time so that you can make informed decisions. You MUST do this before asking questions or for any opinion about fit. Link to this "How To.." also in grey column always on left of the Site.
Q: "I really like costume xyz but it says says "SOLD" or "SOLD OUT". Are there more? Can you email me personally when something like it comes in? Can I order it? Can I order something like it that's not on the website? Can I order costume abc in a size not on the website? "
A: No.
Q: "How do I order?"
A: Read "How To Order (US)" or "How To Order (from outside US)". Links to these also in grey column always on left of Site.
Q: "Can you hold/reserve a costume for me?"
A: Yes. It's called "Reserve Ordering." You pay the full merchandise cost (without shipping) immediately, without contacting me (of course please do if you have questions about the costume). FIRST read "How To Order (US)" or B>"How To Order (from outside US)", which include Reserve Ordering.
*****************************
Know you want it? Make sure you get it by "Reserve Ordering" - immediately send payment for merchandise amount only and it's yours. You'll then owe for shipping. PLEASE do NOT add extra or try to estimate shipping cost. Read "How To Order" for details, obligations.
Need it fast? Send event name/type & date, I'll let you know if it's possible. Email will get you fastest replies. In some circumstances you may be charged a rush fee; whether and how much (never more than $20) depends on so many variables and the circumstances at the exact time of your order there is no way to provide a pre-calculated list of charges. My philosophy: if it doesn't disrupt OTHER people's orders or cause real extra work for me, I don't charge anything to get something to you as quickly as I can. If I'm so swamped that it does cause significant disruption, that means there are costs to me which I have no choice but to pass on to you as additional (rush) fees (or I'm out of business -- I keep prices as low as I can and have very little margin).
. Rush charges may apply.
If any question arises, the first person who pays at least the merchandise price in full for a costume gets the costume (must follow up with shipping payment, if paying separately). Asking for shipping cost or asking for a costume to be held or promising you're going to pay do not hold a costume.
Thank you!
