Like most of the costumes on this site, this was a one-of-a-kind piece hand crafted by an Egyptian artisan.
THIS COSTUME is GONE. IT CAN NOT BE ORDERED.. Will there be more? Depending on the artisan, general designs may or may not be repeated, but never exactly. It's impossible to say if or when these will show up or in what size or color. I don't have the resources to take the number of requests I get to 'watch for something like xyz and let (you) know when it comes in," I'm sorry, I wish I could.YOU CAN'T ORDER THIS COSTUME. Thank you.
COMING SOON (but not now, please don't ask!), certain SPECIFIC (not all) costumes WILL be custom-orderable indivdually. When that is possible, there will be PLENTY of notices here on the web site, you won't miss it. I'm not sure exactly when this will be put into operation. Please WAIT for notices on the site saying it is possible before asking ANYTHING about 'custom ordering' (I just don't have any info on it now), until then
NO COSTUME, INCLUDING THIS ONE, CAN BE ORDERED - IT IS NOT ORDERABLE AT THIS TIME

If large version photos don't seem very large, especially the detail, which should be pretty gigantic, you may need to do this (applies to Internet Explorer (IE) only): Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the IE window. Click "Internet Options". Click the "Advanced" tab. You'll see a "Settings" list of items you can check or uncheck. Scroll down until you see the heading "Multimedia." There should be a checkbox setting something along the lines of "enable automatic image resizing." You DON'T want automatic image resizing, so uncheck the box if it's checked. CLick the "OK" button. "Automatic image resizing" takes images IE considers too big and makes them smaller, so you never are sure if you are seeing an image at the size the website author intended. Turning off "automatic image resizing" simply means you will see all images at their "real" sizes, it will not affect anything else.

Made in Egypt. This is an extraordinary piece, with a quality and amount of detail you will be hard pressed to find these days and certainly not at this price!

The color was extremely difficult to capture correctly; there is some variation in the photos as I fiddled with a few of them in various ways to try and come up with the best results. The all-around closest (on my computer monitor) are the main photo at the top of the page, and more so it's larger version (the one you get in the pop up window when you click the photo visible on the page). It is really a pretty, spring-like soft yellow, but not so wimpy that I would call it pastel. And definitely not garish. In the photos mentioned above, the one at the top of the page looks to me a tad strong as far as the color of the lycra, but it shows the beadwork colors well. The larger version is probably the best overall, though it still doesn't exactly capture it.

The majority of the rest of the photos are close as far as the yellow, but to get to that point my fiddling caused the beadwork to look a bit faded, which it isn't! Again, it (beadwork) is not garish. It is delicate but pops. Primarily golds with strong second of silver, and prominent accents of lovely lightg and darker greens, and beautiful pink flower beads. The techniques used in the beadwork are truely beautiful and not run-of-the-mill. A lot of standard smooth bugle beads close together as wide borders, also stacked slightly for lovely depth. And a lot of it, though delicately used; the entire skirt has vertical runs as well as a wide design around the entire lower flaring portion. Not encrusted in crystal, but plenty of well place, large real glass crystals, most are either 1" dark peacock glass rectangles or 1" glass pink pears (rough count: five on bra, four on skirt). There are several large high quality acrylic crystals mixed in. Also a sprinkling of 3/16" glass amber round crystals and 1/4" clear AB glass round crystals. Glass rhinestone serpintine chains along tops of bra cups, accenting waist straps, and dangling within the open diamond formed by the crossing waist straps, tipped with round seed bead baubles.

Standard costume bra and all soft cool mesh sleeves/shoulders are completely integrated. Beautiful beading down each sleeve. A note primarily for people who may be new at purchasing imported high end Egyptian costumes: this is one of those bras you run into that at first glance is a little "wrinkled", the amount of beading has pulled it in places so that, when you aren't wearing it, there are small concavities. THIS IS NOT ABNORMAL. It was this way when new, many costumes are. First of all, if you pad and tape so that you fill the bra properly, most of this will be smoothed out. Second of all, even if you don't, IT WILL NOT BE NOTICEABLE. I didn't take especial care when I was modeling it, it was a little 'bumpy' in the photos. Looks just AWFUL, doesn't it?? ;)

Skirt is fairly closely cut to knees, then flares generously around bottom. About 6" wide sections of perfectly matched soft mesh from top to bottom on sides. No slit. Back Zipper.

Accessories: Matching beaded headband.

Age/Condition: Gorgeous! BARELY used. Excellent condition, better than some "new" costumes. I know this was worn once for one set in a very clean restaurant, possibly twice. ZERO holes, slubs, runs, snags in mesh. Almost spotless, even the hem. Some very, very small, light spots on skirt. Most noticeable (barely noticeable and certainly not by anyone watching you dance) are two, very light, about 1/8" diameter, on front of skirt about midway down. Probably a few similar elsewhere but I didn't note any. Hem is almost completely clean and no loss or breakage of hem trim (or any other trim or beads).

Sizing:
> Click For "How to Buy a Costume that Fits", explanation of my sizing, how to apply it to you, also some tips on altering. VERY HELPFUL

DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL ME WITH SIZE QUESTIONS OF ANY KIND UNTIL YOU HAVE 1) READ THE LINKED PAGE ABOVE (How to Buy A Costume that Fits), 2) READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION OF THIS COSTUME INCLUDING NOTES GIVEN WITH THE SIZES, 3) TAKEN YOUR MEASUREMENTS NOW AND CAREFULLY COMPARED THEM TO MEASUREMENTS GIVEN FOR COSTUME IN QUESTION. Please! I'm overwhelmed with emails/calls, which keeps me from posting new costumes! It may be hard to believe, but many, many questions are answered by taking a little time to do this -- even if you think you understand my measurements and/or know yours. Even if you are totally confused (or only know your size in a non-US format - page gives help converting). If you still have questions after that, I'll be delighted to answer them (please email vs. phone if you can -- love to talk to customers, but much easier for me to answer emails quickly) . Thank you VERY much, I greatly appreciate it! - K

Bra
    PLEASE read:
    - Brief Explanation of notations used below.
    - Underbust measurements are NOT a good way to judge bra fit, please read this (short).

Should fit range including: wide 32 D, 34 C/D, 36 A+/B/C. Larger cup sizes (34 D, 36 C) may be pushing it a bit, but the coverage provided by the arm/"top" fabric allows a little more leeway, and the bra cup shapes lend themselves fairly well to many sizes. Max underbust = 32.5"

Skirt Top: Smallest body will reasonably fit approximately = 30," largest body will reasonably fit approximately = 35." Short (about 5" unstretched) pieces of 3/4" wide elastic in back on either side of zipper. Smaller sizes may need to tighten. See easy tip here.

Skirt Hips at widest: Smallest body will reasonably fit approximately = 34," largest body will reasonably fit approximately = 39."

Strap: The lycra ruched waist strap was just plain and simply made too short for any body that would conceivably fit in this costume! Measuring from where the straps connect to the skirt top (below where they cross), they are an equivalent of a total of 13" stretching to 16". I had done a very quick extension by sewing on a narrow piece of gold metallic ribbon, complete with hook & eye; this is another (non stretchy) 12". A more elegant subsitute could be used, such as a rhinestone chain. But this works.

Skirt length: 37."
