c0697 Metallic Green Dress with Mesh Bodice, Rhinestone Jewelry Details $370
SOLD Made in Egypt. If you've been dancing a while you know that nice green costumes are difficult to come by. Here one is. Beautiful green lycra with very fine dotted green metallic overlay. Soft green mesh around entire midriff. Flatwork is all glass beads, very nice quality acrylic crystals and glass rhinestones, no sequins. Colors are gold, silver, green. About 10 3/4" round sew-on acrylic crystals in bra and hip work, gorgeous. Fringe accents around hips of tumbled (smooth) square cut bugle beads tipped with beautiful semi-precious-look green mooonstone and "jade" beads.
Fit-to-wide-flare skirt with opening over left leg front, backed by gathered panel of soft green mesh. Lovely detail of two silver and rhinestone clasps across top of opening. Back zipper.
Dress is fairly long, but bottom hem has no trim and main beadwork clears by several inches all around, so simple to hem.
Accessories: Matching beaded gauntlets and headband.
Sizing: Medium-Large.
Bra: Should fit range including 36 C/D, 38 B/C.
Age/Condition: New. Has several very minor issues, VERY easy to fix. The top of the back of the bodice (mesh) will probably need some elastic or other reinforcement, it's been stetched out a little (it would be a good idea to do this regardless). Seams are coming unstitched in a few places (like somone way too big tried to squeeze in). No fabric is torn, no beading involved, will simply be a matter of stitching short straight lines on existing seams (little enough that it can be done by hand). These are: about 3" on one side seam of mesh bodice; about 3" on one of the front princess seams of the bodice; about 2" on right hip seam. There is about a quarter (coin) sized irregular spot just above the hem on back of skirt; not color, just an irregular darkening, barely noticeable. The price of the dress already takes these into account.
Like most of the costumes on this site, this was a one-of-a-kind piece hand crafted by an Egyptian artisan. THIS COSTUME CAN NOT BE ORDERED. Will there be more? Individual artisans will occasionally repeat designs, but never exactly and rarely in the same color. It's impossible to say if or when these will show up or in what size or color. Hips: Fabric relaxed = 36", stretches to approximately 42"
Length: From top center of bra (approximately your breastbone) to hem: 50".
