There are no more of this exact costume in stock. COMING SOON (but not now, please don't ask!), certain (not all) costumes WILL be custom-orderable indivdually. When that is possible, there will be PLENTY of notices here on the web site, you won't miss it. I'm not sure exactly when this will be put into operation. Please WAIT for notices on the site saying it is possible before asking ANYTHING about 'custom ordering' (I just don't have any info on it now), until then NO COSTUME, INCLUDING THIS ONE, CAN BE ORDERED - IT IS NOT ORDERABLE AT THIS TIME
If large version photos don't seem very large, especially the detail, which should be pretty gigantic, you may need to do this (applies to Internet Explorer (IE) only): Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the IE window. Click "Internet Options". Click the "Advanced" tab. You'll see a "Settings" list of items you can check or uncheck. Scroll down until you see the heading "Multimedia." There should be a checkbox setting something along the lines of "enable automatic image resizing." You DON'T want automatic image resizing, so uncheck the box if it's checked. CLick the "OK" button. "Automatic image resizing" takes images IE considers too big and makes them smaller, so you never are sure if you are seeing an image at the size the website author intended. Turning off "automatic image resizing" simply means you will see all images at their "real" sizes, it will not affect anything else.

A general statement about HP series costumes: these are truly works of art and outstanding craftmanship, extremely high quality work and attention to detail. I've been almost overwhelmed to tears at how well they are made (less work for me!). The prices on these are frankly misleading; compared to what else is on the market I feel I could easily charge at least $50 - $100 more for these and you would still be getting a solid deal -- but her prices are reasonable, the makers believe dancers shouldn't have to mortgage their homes for quality professional costumes, and I'm overjoyed to be able to pass that on. A few points: only high quality fabrics; only REAL GLASS crystal stones, and AMPLE use of them; high quality beads without over use of plastic or acrylic, and when acrylic novelty beads are used (as on most high end costumes, for example, in the fringe) they are lovely and high quality; only heavy weight thread is used for beadwork, never doubled or quadrupled 'normal' weight sewing thread; the finishing of the beadwork itself is impeccable - every end is cleanly knotted, there are no long threads hanging loose - the inside of the costume is probably as neat and clean as you will ever see!
Incredibly elegant, but still with the playful feel often associated with Saidi costuming. Very high quality. Stretch fabric is iridescent metallic gold overlay (tiny dots very closely spaced) on beige/gold fabric. Separate bra; edge trim continues on back straps but there is no bead design on back. Lovely beadwork design over entire dress, large delicate flower-like "bursts" ALL have fringe accents hanging from center. Fringe is long, about 6", gold and silver glass square cut bugles tipped with variety of lovely acrylics. Each a grouping of three strands. Several 3/8" real glass crystal accent stones on bra, about half a dozen 1/4" glass crystal stones in hip area. Dress is pull on/over, there is no zipper. Long sleeves flare below elbows, with slit from elbow to wrist hem. Side leg slits, both sides, mid-thigh height. All bra edges and dress chest opening trimmed in closely looping glass bead edging. Edges of sleeves, slits, hem trimmed with looping beads/sequins.

DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL ME WITH SIZE QUESTIONS OF ANY KIND UNTIL YOU HAVE 1) READ THE LINKED PAGE ABOVE (How to Buy A Costume that Fits), 2) READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION OF THIS COSTUME INCLUDING NOTES GIVEN WITH THE SIZES, 3) TAKEN YOUR MEASUREMENTS NOW AND CAREFULLY COMPARED THEM TO MEASUREMENTS GIVEN FOR COSTUME IN QUESTION. Please! I'm overwhelmed with emails/calls, which keeps me from posting new costumes! It may be hard to believe, but many, many questions are answered by taking a little time to do this -- even if you think you understand my measurements and/or know yours. Even if you are totally confused (or only know your size in a non-US format - page gives help converting). If you still have questions after that, I'll be delighted to answer them (please email vs. phone if you can -- love to talk to customers, but much easier for me to answer emails quickly) . Thank you VERY much, I greatly appreciate it! - K
Bra
PLEASE read:
- Brief Explanation of notations used below.
- Underbust measurements are NOT a good way to judge bra fit, please read this (short).
Should fit range including: wide 34 D/DD (relatively easy to move cups together), 36 B/C+, 38 B. Max underbust = 35."
Across back at shoulders, to give a rough idea of size of top. Measured across vertical center of shoulder blades, from sleeve seam to sleeve seam : 14" - 16."
True Waist (at narrowest): Smallest body will reasonably fit approximately = 26," largest body will reasonably fit approximately = 34." See "Alterability," below, about whether this area can be tighten or loosened.
Dress Hips at widest: Smallest body will reasonably fit approximately = ," largest body will reasonably fit approximately = ." See "Alterability," below, about whether this area can be tighten or loosened.
Dress Length: (back center, from nape of neck to hem) = 55." See "Alterability," below, about whether this dress can be shortenend (or lengthened).
Alterability - tightening/loosening (taking in or letting out)
There is a lot of clear (unbeaded) seam length, with ample seam allowance, at least some everywhere along torso. Easy to make adjustments if needed.
- Side seams are clear (no beadwork) their entire length, from sleeve seam to slit. Approximately 5/8" good clean seam allowance on each side of seam, so total of about 3/4" -1" available to let out. To take in: just run a seam up inside of and parallel to the original.
- Back seam is clear (no beadwork) from mid-rear end (hip) up to about true waist, where there is a bead design right in the middle of the back, and then clear up to end at neck. Approximately 5/8" good clean seam allowance on each side of seam, so total of about 3/4" -1" available to let out.
- Two princess seams (like really long vertical darts, usually somewhere between side and center front or center back) in back from top of hip to shoulder blades, clear (no beadwork) all the way. At maximum point, takes in about 1-1/4" (you can take them out, make them take in more or less. Controls how the dress hugs your back and sides above your rear end).
- Length: Good 5" of clear fabric above hem. Hem is trimmed with looping bead and sequin edging. You'll have to decide if you want to preserve/replace this trim, or just loose it. You can either cut it off along with the appropriate amount of fabric to shorten the dress (tie off or glue off the bead trim on the slit sides) and hem (or not, said the woman with no extra time - this stretch fabric doesn't unravel). And leave it with no trim. Nobody will notice. You can re-bead from scratch, it's very easy but time consuming. You can save the trim and enough fabric around it to sew it back on top of your hem. You can "pinch hem": run a horizontal seam around skirt that takes in enough fabric to get it to the length you want. You can leave the excess if it's not too much (if you ever sell it, it's then available for someone to let out). Con: you have a seam somewhere around the bottom of your dress. If close to trim at bottom, pretty un-noticiable.
Note: there are some fringe accents that hang down a couple of inches further than the lowest beadwork. If you are shortening enough, you may need to cut these off (or shorten them) or they'll drag on the ground. Just a couple.
