If large version photos don't seem very large, especially the detail, which should be pretty gigantic (on most you should be able to see individual beads, though some aren't that large), you may need to do this (applies to Internet Explorer (IE) only): Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the IE window. Click "Internet Options". Click the "Advanced" tab. You'll see a "Settings" list of items you can check or uncheck. Scroll down until you see the heading "Multimedia." There should be a checkbox setting something along the lines of "enable automatic image resizing." You DON'T want automatic image resizing, so uncheck the box if it's checked. CLick the "OK" button. "Automatic image resizing" takes images IE considers too big and makes them smaller, so you never are sure if you are seeing an image at the size the website author intended. Turning off "automatic image resizing" simply means you will see all images at their "real" sizes, it will not affect anything else.
ONE COSTUME LEFT - SOLDPreviously sold out. This last costume was purchased, but the order cancelled before shipping - it is brand new, has not been sent out and returned.
Made in Egypt. Lightweight dark red metallic thread woven with black (changes as light hits it), slight stretch. All real glass crystal rhinestone embellishment (large 1/4" stones, in chains, individually scattered, and jewelery pieces) except for silver glass seed bead edging on straps, bra edges, skirt edges/hem.
When these first came in, frankly I looked at them and said to myself "oh good, there's one I won't have to fight to keep myself from buying." How wrong I was! Grabbed one on one of those nights where I just HAD to have something different, and WOW! I now love this and think it may actually be one of my favorite costumes -- and I'm a stickler for not wearing under-designed or under-beaded costumes, I have to look like a pro because, well, I am one, and I charge for it :). Anyway, it's impossible to tell or show in pictures the impact that all of those huge rhinestones have, and I think the fact that there is nothing BUT real glass rhinestones is part of it. On the hanger or in the pictures you may think like I did -- way too simple, not much going on. But when you wear it, believe me, OTHER people will let you know otherwise. Every time I wear this, I swear, SOMEBODY says a serious "WOW!", whether it's restaurant staff who've seen all of my stuff, or customers.
Narrow bra "straps" actually tie, halter style around neck, and in back. They attach to bra in V's (two strap pieces) and come together so you are tying just two ends together. Skirt cut is one that I've had in a number of guises on this site. Almost a sarong, but not quite, has much more interesting tailoring and shaping. Gathered slightly over left hip (though in these that's pretty much hidden by the large piece of jewelery). Very high slit starts just below (I closed mine up some, and see "Fiddling" below). Sides of the slit are folded back into what I call lapels, which are covered with individual rhinestones. A side and back seam are cut to hug hips; it doesn't just hang straight down. Top line dips down towards slit. Back zipper.
Fiddling Probably Required - but easy!
I now know why I was told to sell these so cheaply. Although the skirt design is wonderful when done correctly, my opinion is that these were goofed up a bit. As is, only extremely small-hipped people would be able to wear them. I can't totally remember what I had to do with mine, but vaguely remember ripping out stitches and safety pinning at the last minute... and it looks great. A couple of the skirts are a little larger, and just normally small hipped people can fit, barely, with no alterations.
The goof is in the way the lapels are made. I may not be able to explain this well, but the upshot is that by carefully picking out a couple of short seams and possibly resewing, you can get 3 to 5 inches more around the hips, unstretched, a little more with stretch (my best estimate). Bear with me, this isn't as complicated as the amount of text implies!
OK, essentially under each triangular lapel on the sides of the slit, there is a separate triangular fold, like a giant dart. The fold of fabric starts at the top of the slit, running towards the hem. A seam starts at the top of the fold and goes diagonally down, so that the fabric held back by it widens (meaning it tightens the skirt as it goes down). The lapel is (I think) supposed to hang back over this. The seam does not run all the way to the hem. These are the seams that you can pick out, and either resew, or leave the skirt hanging. Like removing or making a dart smaller, hence loosening the skirt around the hip and thighs.
You will probably have to be careful about picking out the seams, and the stitch marks may show somewhat -- though I suspect even if they do, it would show only on the skirts with the longer seams in the front. The skirt I did a little experimenting on I had mixed results, and it totally depended on how carefully I went. Slow and carefull = no stitch line. Impatient = holes. Some of the folds have stones sewn all the way through, you may need to undo and re-sew them. However, these are almost all near the very top and only 2 or 3 stones; since they are near the top (smallest part of the "dart"), you may not even undo the seam that high. A couple of the skirts have white pattern spots (marks for where stones were going to be sewn) that go strangely far back, and MAY show when the fold is undone. Black sharpie pen works wonders.
Regarding the jeweled part of the lapel: no matter what, these tend to swing in (jeweled side in and hidden). I tacked mine back with a couple of stitches, er, safety pins. You'll have to see how yours acts.
I like skin, but I closed up the top of my slit (I'm guessing it's still safety pinned; I never get around to actually sewing anything). I think they will gape if you don't no matter what.
I was experimenting on one of the skirts and I am 100% sure that a good fiddler (you don't have to be a seamstress or good "sewer", you just have to have a good spatial imagination, think reasonably, and not be afraid to mess around with your costume) can make the skirts larger in the hips, looking good, adding at least the number of inches that are shown below. BUT you may have to alter my suggestions somewhat, or do something a little different; I can't forsee everything. That's partially because each of the skirts is sewn a little differently.
All in all, though, there is not anything particularly tricky. As with most fiddling jobs, it's more tedium and patience than any type of sewing skill.
Accessories: None.
Age/Condition: New. Be sure and read "Fiddling...", above. Also, I'm running out of time and may not be able to point out every little glitch, especially for the skirts. But you may need to add a few stitches to hold down loose jewels; trim loose thread ends, there may be some loose bead edging (but not major). For some reason, I guess artsy asymmetry, on the skirt the right back swag of rhinestones is shorter than the left, on some more than others, but all are like this. If it bothers you terribly you can shorten the strands. Anything more serious I would describe with the specific costume piece.

Sizing:
> Click For "How to Buy a Costume that Fits", explanation of my sizing, how to apply it to you, also some tips on altering. VERY HELPFUL
DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL ME WITH SIZE QUESTIONS OF ANY KIND UNTIL YOU HAVE 1) READ THE LINKED PAGE ABOVE (How to Buy A Costume that Fits), 2) READ THE FULL DESCRIPTION OF THIS COSTUME INCLUDING NOTES GIVEN WITH THE SIZES, 3) TAKEN YOUR MEASUREMENTS NOW AND CAREFULLY COMPARED THEM TO MEASUREMENTS GIVEN FOR COSTUME IN QUESTION. Please! I'm overwhelmed with emails/calls, which keeps me from posting new costumes! It may be hard to believe, but many, many questions are answered by taking a little time to do this -- even if you think you understand my measurements and/or know yours. Even if you are totally confused (or only know your size in a non-US format - page gives help converting). If you still have questions after that, I'll be delighted to answer them (please email vs. phone if you can -- love to talk to customers, but much easier for me to answer emails quickly) . Thank you VERY much, I greatly appreciate it! - K
Bras
PLEASE read:
- Brief Explanation of notations used below.
- Underbust measurements are NOT a good way to judge bra fit, please read this (short).
With all of the stone settings these are naturally a bit snaggy. The fabric is all in great condition, but some of the individual scattered stones (sewn on) are pulled loose or off; some of the jewelery pieces need to be stitched back down. All super, super simple, not large scale; notes below. I'll fix up if possible but can't promise; if stones have come off they will all be included, you won't be missing any crystals.
Back straps tie; I estimated a half hitch (like a bow with one loop) takes about 12" generously. Length of each side given, the straps do stretch some, not like elastic but they'll easily go a few more inches, below is measured completely relaxed so is the minimum. You may need to shorten one or the other or both of the 2 ends of the 'V' of the straps to get bra to fit well. I had to shorten the bottom strap of the V of the back straps to pull the bottom of the cups against my body - before that the bra was "floating" off my boobs, after it was perfect.
- 6). Should fit range including wide 34 D/DD, 36 wide C+/D, 38 B/C. Back ties = 17", 17" (plus coupleathree inches or so in stretch each). 2 jewels slightly loose.
Skirts
YOU MUST READ THE SECTION TITLED "Fiddling...", ABOVE!!!!!
I hope to add details on the exact length of the seams you may have to remove (anywhere from 4" to 9"), the number of stones you MAY have to cut off and resew (no more than three), but I have to get some sleep first, and I just may not have time. Frankly if you are ready to purchase and fiddle, these details shouldn't make too much of a difference.
Tops have no elastic, smaller sizes may need to add.
Skirt 3:
Top fits body approximately 28" to 34"
Hips AS IS fit body approximately 29" to 33"
Length: 36"-37", depending on how you position the slightly gathered top of skirt.
Amount of additional hip room gainable by fiddling as described above: 4.5". With fabric relaxed, stretch may get you a little more. And this is my best estimate, can't guarantee but should be ballpark.

FAQ's & Helpful Info(below)
Q:"How long will it take to get my order? How much is shipping?"
A: For full detail on carriers and rates see Quick Help- Shipping. Total time to receive your order is the Processing Time (time until delivery to shipper: document processing, costume prep, packing, waiting for the 10 orders ahead to be shipped, etc.) PLUS the shipping transit time. Normal processing time is from 1 up to 7 business days. Currently, due to brisk business, possible max of 14 calendar days. Standard shipping within the US takes 2 to 5 days; roughly $11-$17. Shipping costs outside the USA vary greatly. VERY rough examples: Canada, generally the higher end is in the $30 range. Europe, Japan, South Asia, expect at least $50. You are responsible for any customs taxes. Expedited shipping (overnight, guaranteed 2 day, etc.) - ask specifically for costs in your initial request.
Q: "I'm a (for example) 38 bust and 35 underbust, I wear a size 10, will this costume fit me/can you tell me what costumes will fit?" or, "I don't understand the measurements you give."
A: Read "How to Buy a Costume that fits". You need to know your correct bra size and current measurements, then compare to the measured ranges given, which are done very carefully and in which I invest a lot of time so that you can make informed decisions. You MUST do this before asking questions or for any opinion about fit. Link to this "How To.." also in grey column always on left of the Site.
Q: "I really like costume xyz but it says says "SOLD" or "SOLD OUT". Are there more? Can you email me personally when something like it comes in? Can I order it? Can I order something like it that's not on the website? Can I order costume abc in a size not on the website? "
A: No.
Q:"How do I order?"
A: Read "How To Order (US)" or "How To Order (from outside US)". Links to these also in grey column always on left of Site.
Q: "Can you hold/reserve a costume for me?"
A: Yes. It's called "Reserve Ordering." You pay the full merchandise cost (without shipping) immediately, without contacting me (of course please do if you have questions about the costume). FIRST read "How To Order (US)" or B>"How To Order (from outside US)", which include Reserve Ordering.
*****************************
Know you want it? Make sure you get it by "Reserve Ordering" - immediately send payment for merchandise amount only and it's yours. You'll then owe for shipping. PLEASE do NOT add extra or try to estimate shipping cost. Read "How To Order" for details, obligations.
Need it fast? Send event name/type & date, I'll let you know if it's possible. Email will get you fastest replies. In some circumstances you may be charged a rush fee; whether and how much (never more than $20) depends on so many variables and the circumstances at the exact time of your order there is no way to provide a pre-calculated list of charges. My philosophy: if it doesn't disrupt OTHER people's orders or cause real extra work for me, I don't charge anything to get something to you as quickly as I can. If I'm so swamped that it does cause significant disruption, that means there are costs to me which I have no choice but to pass on to you as additional (rush) fees (or I'm out of business -- I keep prices as low as I can and have very little margin).
. Rush charges may apply.
If any question arises, the first person who pays at least the merchandise price in full for a costume gets the costume (must follow up with shipping payment, if paying separately). Asking for shipping cost or asking for a costume to be held or promising you're going to pay do not hold a costume.
Thank you!
